New: AcademyMaker 2.0
Version 2.0 from our e-learning solution AcademyMaker® is available since February 1st 2011. The distinctive new feature is a completely new developed, consequently “trimmed” user interface. Even though the actual functional range is enlarged by a new import/export module (which includes et al. the SCORM format) and several new options for existing functions, a “functional overkill” is not present as with various other business software. The main interface has is intuitively usable and therefore unproblematic to work with. Through consequent economic design, modern surface technology and consequent simplification of the user interface the timely effort for training period, production of e-learning units and learning management was again reduced about at least 25%. For example the average training period for new authors without any previous knowledge lies now under three hours.
X-CELL regards itself in their industry as trend-setter, which for example is already valid for producers of communication technologies: The benchmark for product design is the human being and not the technical feasibility. The user should not be confronted with numerous features and options, which are only manageable for those who have the time and passion to “learn” the software. In fact the user should “experience” the software application on an intuitive level, which presents at any time on an understandable level only those options which are really necessary. Therefore AcademyMaker is not only practical for e-learning professionals but may be used and applied by any users within an organization to set up and mange e-learning projects on their own account in a feasible time period. AcademyMaker is, as one of the few “Learning Content Management Systems“ (LCMS) on the market, both an authoring system for the production of e-learning content and a learning management system for the administration of e-learning projects. Therefore customers only need one system for all aspects of e-learning within an organization. Of course AcademyMaker also possesses interfaces which allow data exchange with existing systems (e.g. HR software).
AcademyMaker is both suitable for “classical” e-learning, thus training of employees and “external“ target groups such as commercial partners, sales partners, customers etc. It may be rented as “Cloud” or “SaaS“ "(Software as a Service) application or as purchased license hosted on own servers. The technical requirements is simply a general browser on any system with internet access (e. g. PC, Mac, iPad etc.).
